Nothing on tribal land is shown here
New Mexico's tribal nations are sovereign. We do not hold their consent to publish data about their lands, their communities or the food resources on them, so we publish none of it. Not the scores, not the counts, and not the listings. That the underlying records are public federal data does not make it ours to republish.
This is a deliberate gap. It means the map is incomplete, and we would rather be incomplete than presume.
Are you a member of, or working for, one of New Mexico's tribal nations? We would like to talk about what publishing your data on your terms would look like, or whether you want it published at all. Nothing goes back in without written consent, and you decide what is included, how it is described and when it comes down again. Start that conversation.
Please call before you go
Hours change, sites move, and some places serve only certain days or certain areas. This list is built from public records that can go out of date, so a quick phone call saves a wasted trip. Pantries and WIC vendors usually list a phone number here. Most SNAP stores and senior centers do not, because the public records simply do not include one. For those, use Directions and check before travelling far.
What's in this list
- Food pantries and distribution sites. Places that give out free groceries.
- Meal sites. Places serving prepared meals.
- SNAP retailers. The 1,600+ stores across the state that accept SNAP and EBT.
